The festival provides an atmosphere to promote all writers, whether they had written hit songs which made people open their eyes and view the world in a different way or they are aspiring writers and musicians who knew they could do the same but needed a forum in order to get their music out to the world.

The Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 14 & 15, on board Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. Admission is FREE and the gates open at 8 am each day. The show includes static displays of aircraft of all types, food, beverage and vendor booths, virtual reality experiences and other attractions, including a Kids' Zone, Sony Playstation II gaming area and bungee jumping. Home Depot will also have a Kids Workshop Area with craft projects. The air show begins at 9:45 am, with the Blue Angels slated to fly around 2 pm. The pilots will sign autographs after the show. There is also a night air show on Friday evening. This homecoming will officially be the last year of the Jet Assisted Take-Off (JATO) for Fat Albert Airlines. Fat Albert JATO take-offs have been a tradition for the Blue Angels since Nov 22 1975.
Visit the Museum's display area at the air show and climb into our Blue Angel F/A-18 Hornet. Check out other historic aircraft from the Museum's collection including a F-14 Tomcat, a F-4 Phantom and a HU-16 Albatross. Don't miss our special guest appearance of a P-38 Lightning.
Visitors are encouraged to use the back gate off of Blue Angel Parkway to enter the base. Patrons may bring chairs, but no coolers, backpacks, food, drinks or pets will be allowed. A handicap area is set aside for wheelchairs only. For those who have never attended an air show, be advised that the aircraft can be VERY noisy and young children need protection for their ears. It can also be windy on the tarmac and layers of clothes are recommended.

5:30 p.m. The "Nautical Night of Lights" is a lighted boat parade. Boats of all sizes and shapes and decorated with holiday lights and decorations meander along the waters of Orange Beach to the delight of the spectators that line the banks of the parade route. The parade will initiate its cruise at 5:30 p.m. from LuLu’s at Homeport Marina in Gulf Shores and will end at Zeke’s Marina in Orange Beach at approximately 8:30 p.m.

8:00 pm. Festive decorations, laser effects, and holiday lighting. Festivities will include jugglers, fortune teller, caricature artist, and other street entertainers. Party horns, hats, and tiaras; concessions and a cash bar; and projection screens highlighting other New Year’s Eve events around the country.

2010 GMAC BOWL 7:00 p.m. A national television audience will tune in to ESPN for the 110th Annual GMAC Bowl.The GMAC Bowl has built a reputation of fielding some of the most competitive and exciting games of the bowl season, including breakout performances by many NFL standouts including LaDanian Tomlinson, Byron Leftwich, and Ben Roethlisberger.

Kickoff to be 6:00 p.m. The contest will be nationally-televised by NFL network. The Senior Bowl is the nation’s most unique football game and football’s premier pre-draft event, annually featuring the country’s best senior collegiate football stars and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South which are coached by the entire coaching staffs from two National Football League teams.

Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The show will be larger than ever this year with 55 artist displaying in this first of the season fine art show. Adding to the long tradition of fine arts and fine crafts, the 2010 Festival will add four complimentary attractions. A Literary Arts Tent with house regional and celebrity authors, book readings and book signings. The new Drama and Dance Stage will see performances of theater troops and dance performances. For our youngest artists the Children's Art Alley plans more than half a dozen hands-on exciting art experiences. At the Songwriters and Musicians Stage guest will enjoy the amazing regional talent as songwriters share their songs, play and sing for everyone.
