Golf Digest and
Golf Magazine.

Trivia Anyone?
The Alabama Gulf Coast showcases 207 holes of championship caliber golf at 10 courses.
Leading golf course designers—like Arnold Palmer, Jerry Pate, Earl Stone, Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge—have produced some of the area’s most stunning and challenging courses.
Variety makes this destination unique as we offer everything like scenic coast lines, wetland preserves, rolling hills and links style golf.
Kiva Dunes, which
Golf Digest ranked 58th in its list “America’s Top 100 Public Golf Course, 2003-2004” is located in Gulf Shores, AL. When this Jerry Pate-design course first opened in 1995, it was recognized as one of the two “best new golf courses in the United States.”
Arnold Palmer’s only Alabama projects are located on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Lured to the area by the Craft family who were originally sod and turf farmers, Palmer designed his first “Signature Series” course at Cotton Creek at Craft Farms. A second Palmer-designed course—Cypress Bend at Craft Farms—was added later. Lost Key Golf Club in neighboring Perdido Key, FL is also a Palmer “Signature Series” course.
Different from other golfing destinations, our selection of courses is unparalleled and centrally located. Designed by golfing legends, these courses are situated near the beach, accommodations, shopping or other attractions.
Golfing on the gulf is a great value, especially in the fall when rates are not peaking and the seasonal weather is refreshing. Enjoy lush green courses, Southern hospitality and a mild climate, which makes golfing a year-round activity.
The 19th hole is closer than you think since most of our beach-front lodging is usually within walking distance to some tasty seafood and steak restaurants. Savor the taste of fresh gulf seafood (or anything your appetite desires) at casual dining eateries to full-service restaurants. Some places even feature dinning on a back deck, where no one cares that you have been outdoors all day.
Hot Off the Presses
Golf on the Alabama Gulf Coast attracts national media coverage from print, broadcast and internet outlets. The area has been featured in PGA.com,
Golf Illustrated, New York and
New Jersey Golf Magazines,
GolfWeek Magazine and Travelgolf.com in addition to
The Golf Channel and the
Dallas Morning News. On a larger, international scale,
Reuters News and
Score Magazine (from Canada) have highlighted the area.
